Fall and Winter

Well it has been a while since I last posted and I don't really remember what my previous posts said so I will try to update you on everything since Oct!

This is a pic of Mat and I after pumpkin carving and before the haunted houses.

Now down below here is Mat and his brother Zach and how they look for outdoor flag football games. Even in the cold they wear this outfit...
This is from Courtney's bday night! Jeff and Mat are looking tough and Alicia is ummm lookin around?

There are all the girls from Court's bday night! Courtney, Audria, me, nicole, alicia, and rachael.

So October was my birthday and I got Tiffany earrings from Mat!!! I am wearing them almost every day! haha That's okay though. Now when I go to get my engagement ring cleaned I can also say, "here, what about my Tiffany earrings?" haha so excited!!!
November was Thanksgiving - that was very yummy! We deep fried out turkey, just like every year, and it is so delicious!!! It was Mat's first time having deep fried turkey - I think he liked it too!
December is flying by. I went to the dentist yesterday to get my teeth cleaned and oh my goodness, can you believe this: I HAVE MY FIRST CAVITY!!! ahhhhh!!!! I am officially freaking out about it. I don't know if it is from my thyroid medicine I have been taking or what because I have not changed my diet - so I am very, very sad about this. Luckily it is a super small one though.
Christmas is right around the corner and I have a few presents already wrapped and under the tree but I have some I still have to go buy, and some I need to wrap, and some I am waiting to get delivered too! Mat says I will be very surprised about my gifts, so we shall see!!
On the Friend status - Ummm well, everyone was home for Thanksgiving which I enjoyed. Nicole and Alicia and I are working out at Club Fitness now and that's fun. Courtney works out at Gold's so we are all getting into shape!!
OMG!!!!!!!! MY DRESS!!!!! My wedding dress came in and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT STILL!!!! So excited!!! The only thing I am saying about it is that it is white and gorgeous! :-) I now have some more areas to focus my hard work on at the gym! As a reminder wedding date is set for June 26, 2010... so A year and a half away!! So much to do!!!!
School is going very well this first semester at UIS, and I am all signed up for classes for next semester. I am hoping to continue this good grade streak! I am scheduled to be done in May of 2010, so we will hope that stays true!
So I think that is a lovely, rather long, update - but maybe one more post before the end of the year? Who knows.... stay loyal and check back!

It's Fall Time!

It's been more than a month since I have posted anything on here, so I figured I would!
School is going great. I am really enjoying my classes and cannot wait until the semester is over! I have taken my mid-terms already, so that is nice that they are over.
Mat and I went to Tanners and then had a pumpkin carving contest with the family, I won! My Birthday is coming up on Halloween, and I think the family is going to dinner, and we might go out after dinner... who knows!
This weekend we are going to Chicago for Courtney's birthday and I am hoping it will be a great time! I think it is going to be more expensive than we all think, but oh well... we will figure it out! Some recent pics are below:
Mat and Mike holding the big pumpkins!
My baby and me!
Mom and Mat working hard!
Mat's pumpkin... on the back it said, Happy B-Day Jamie and it shadowed up onto the ceiling!

It's almost the weekend...

Well here we are on a Thursday afternoon. The day is slowing down, it's rainy outside, and I am very congested. Just signs that fall is coming!! I am very excited about fall... it's my favorite season!
I experienced my first football weekend with Mat this past Saturday and Sunday. He wanted to watch the Michigan game on Saaturday, but we were unable to because we went to my brother's open house in Morton. That was really fun. Luke and Em were there, we were able to get our pictures taken in front of a tractor, and toured the whole facility. Super fun time! The pictures below are ones they took for us and gave to us for free. - Sorry they are so small.

This was a cool thing I did... I clicked on something to make it look like it was carved wood! I thought it was pretty neat!

So tomorrow is finally Friday! This week is going so slow! But I know the weekend will just fly by like usual! Oh well though. We are going to watch SNL on Sat night because Michael Phellps is hosting and Lil Wayne is the performer. We are thinking that should be a fun show!
Entourage has started up... I have never seen it before and Mat and my brother love it so I am going to give it a try!!
Wish us luck on saving money!! We need to so we can get my brother's house when he moves to Texas with his job!! I really want to live there... it's a GREAT house!! I will keep you posted on that!!
All for now!

Homework is now my life...

That's right, I, Jamie Schultz, have said that homework is now my life. For the first time EVER, I can actually say that this semester will be the first semester that I try my hardest and actually mean that!

I guess the motivation is really there now. Mat and I are really trying to save money to move out, hopefully into a house, and not be renting. Also, mom has always said that we both have to have our Bachelor degrees in order for her to pay for a wedding. So, I mean, I have already spent 5-7 hours in the library working on homework, and I don't know how much other time working on it at home. It's crazy that I am actually doing this! Is it bad to say that I am proud of myself though?? I really want to get good grades, work hard, and be done with this in 2 years!

It cannot be THAT hard! A lot of people are getting their Bachelor Degrees now. Some of my friends are even going to be done after this year!!! I couldn't be happier for all of them! They worked hard and it's paying off!! Good Job Guys! I have no doubt in my mind that Nicole will finish, she is taking this semester off to get set up with work, and hopefully get a full time job, and get financially secure. I dont blame her! I would love to do that... I just question if I would come back? Oh well, I think she will. Where we work you pretty much have to have your Bachelor's to get anywhere! :-)

Court will definitely finish. She wants to be a surgery person... NO THANK YOU!!! She has to study up hard and take hard tests every week, plus she is working full time, so go her too! This work and school at the same time is harder than it seems!!

But school is school and it is here until I graduate, so I should quit griping and just get used to it! I will love when I am done and hopefully live in a house with my then HUSBAND!!! ahhh that sounds so serious and adult like!!! So exciting!!!

Anyways - thats all for now!! Babysitting Luke and Em tonight and hopefully getting some more homework done! :-)

Labor Day Weekend!

It is finally Friday again! I am excited because it is friday and the weekend is here! woo!

I think I will be mostly hitting the books this weekend and probably watching my very first college football game... I dunno, I am not too crazy about it.... but I am going to give it a try because Mat loves college football and his favorite team is Michigan. So I am going to try... even though I will probably end up playing GTA at his house instead. :-)

This week seemed to go by fairly quickly. Now I know the only reason it did is because school is back in session and before I know it this assignment will be do and that group project is due, oh and dont forget about the tests!!

Random - I got my engagement ring cleaned the other day and its still shiny shiny! I LOVE IT!!! :-) And I love my fiance!! So have a good weekend!

Alicia's FINALLY 21!!!

Hey all! Nicole and I had some fun with Alicia on her 21st birthday! We started off by taking her to Granite City for lunch and her first legal beverage. We had some nasty concoction margarita... YUCK! Nicole liked that though... so Alicia and I ordered the all time wonderful, best drink in the world, strawberry dacquiri! we LOVED them! So we finished up there and met everyone at BWW for more drinking! After that we went to Kouris - this was a blast! Alicia and Mat were both getting very drunk. It was a great time had by all though!! Pictures are below!
They are kind of out of order... sorry about that!
Here is the group at Kouris!

haha and the two drukest people of the night...
I love this picture!! This was towards the end of the night!

Well.... it's here again...

That's right everyone, School is back in session. But you know what, this semester I am NOT having the horrible attitude I have had in the past. This semester is different. This semester I am starting as a junior at the University of Illinois at Springfield. This is nice because I am able to take classes at our local community college and online.

I have to say I am impressed with myself to start Junior year as a college student. I am the only child in my family that has gotten this far! Go me!! I am excited because these classes are more focused on my major... and with only one week of classes down, I can already see that is true!! I am taking 2 night classes and 1 online class and just hoping I do well. I have already spent over 5 hours in the library studying!!! Just call me mini Jeff!!

I am noticing all my tests for Junior Year college are different too. I only have 2 tests in all my classes. One at Midterm and one at the final. Luckily there are some attendance points, and group work points, but still... only 2 tests!! That means I have to stay caught up and remember everything.... not try to memorize everything the night before a HUGE test!

So hopefully this semester goes great, I have all the drive I need now... done in 2 years then GETTING MARRIED!!! :-) Wish me luck!!
